Hey guys,
Long time no post. We have been super busy at the PicMember labs (aka UCI) developing PicMember into the greatest place for today’s pictures. We have added quite a few updates lately based on your recommendations and our own master vision of the future of photo-sharing and are really pleased with the results. One of the biggest features we worked on was the Groups page. Mitch and I just got finished making it and it’s really quite nice. Check out our friend Robert James use of the groups page as his main website for his event/marketing company. You’ll get to see Disco Killer’s latest pics from the Ya Boy concert where he gets up-close and personal with the up-and-coming star.

Soon you’ll be able to skin your own group page or personal site with a tumblog/really cool photo journal. That’s all for now. Feel free to drop us a line at connect@picmember.com for any feature requests.
Peace!

On September 26th, 2008 PicMember.com teamed up with Mak Entertainment to produce a party of epic proportions. The soiree that not only caught the attention of E! Entertainment news but also that of the local crowd, was held at none other than Sutra Ultra-lounge in Newport Beach. Entertainment was provided for by the infamous Southern California native DJ Steve Aoki, and Kevin Federline got on the mic to make a tribute to DJ AM and Travis Barker.
The event was promoted throughout the larger Orange County area by Mak Entertainment and PicMember.com, whose hard work paid off with a sellout crowd. As patrons rushed in and a line formed at the door, Aoki and Federline reached the red carpet and stopped to make photo appearances at the world-famous PicMember backdrop.
Here is a picture of Brian with KFed and Steve Aoki. Check out all the pictures from the event here.
All kinds of people were representing on the dance floor and were mesmerized by the smoothly integrated electronic beats that emanated from the turn tables.

It is with great pride and enthusiasm that we write this letter to inform you of the changes to PicMember. We have made great strides in achieving our goal of engineering an innovative tool that will help you maintain and build your entire digital picture library online where you can safely preserve your memories and easily share them with whoever you like. This past summer, our team of developers, designers, photographers, and visionaries worked around the clock to create PicMember Version 4.0: an easy to use and lightweight version of the site that has been designed for more speed and reliability. It now hosts useful new features that have been incorporated into the site based off your suggestions.
The most exciting new idea implemented into version 4 is the Facebook integration feature code-named “Facebook Syncing.” As Facebook users ourselves, we love posting all our pictures on Facebook because it is an easy way to share with all our friends. The Facebook community is home to millions of photographers (professional and casual) who love sharing their pictures with the people they know and especially love being able to tag all their friends. Our aim was to make a feature that let you continue to gain all the benefits of saving your full-quality pictures on PicMember while being able to simply share your pictures with your Facebook friends. With Facebook Syncing, you can tag all your Facebook friends on PicMember and then export the pictures directly into your pre-existing Facebook Photos application. A new album will be made on Facebook for you that can automatically receive new pictures whenever they are added to your PicMember library. Problem solved.
On another great note, we were able to fit in a revolutionary new way of sharing your pictures! Just took a picture of a celebrity you ran into? Want to share it with your friends? Now you can take pictures from your cell phone and share them with your friends by using your very own PicInbox. The PicInbox is an e-mail inbox created specifically for pictures that lets you receive full-quality pictures from anyone, anywhere, anytime. You’ll no longer have to sift through your gmail account looking for e-mailed pictures. Login in now to register your name@picinbox.com. Try it once and you’ll be hooked.
Thanks to your input, the site is looking and operating better than ever before. Stay tuned for more upcoming features that will continue to help you stay organized during the digital picture revolution. We are currently working with local businesses, photographers, universities, and organizations to help us perfect group pages that will allow you to privately share pictures between groups and create public pages to display a gallery of all the pictures taken at events hosted by your groups. Your input is, as always, greatly appreciated and extremely helpful. Comments are to be directed to feedback@picmember.com. Thanks for checking out our new blog. Look good everybody.
